When I bought a polyester kids daybed bedding for my 5 year old son, I thought that I would never have to worry about taking care of the bedding sets and that I would just have to throw them in the washing machine and wash the hell out of them. At least that was what the salesman told me and seeing how my son still wets the bed every now and again I was more than happy to know that we had finally found a solution to the nasty smell left in the sheets. However the first time I washed the new polyester sheets on the very hot cycle of the washing machine they almost came apart. In fact I had to spend an entire afternoon sowing them back together so we were back to 0 in the sense that I could not wash the clothes on the hot cycle so they kept their nasty odor even after being washed, just like any cotton bedding.
